Minutes-11/10/1976 (2)

The Tiffin City Council met in regular session on November 10, 1976 at 7:30 P.M. in City Hall. Mayor Brotherton presiding. Councilmembers present; Morgan, Formanek, Potter and Janssen. Also present; Atty. Neuzil, James Morehead and Atty. L.G. Klein. Potter moved to approve the minutes of the October 13th regular meeting. Janssen seconded and motion carried unanimously. Councilmember Stratton present at 7:50 p.m. Formanek moved to accept the Clerk-Treasurer's financial report. Potter seconded and motion carried unanimously. The Mayor suspended the normal order of business to hear James Morehead. Potter moved to approve the application for a liquor permit renewal from Mr. Morehead, dba The Corral, Hwy. #6, Marengo Road, beginning December 8, 1976. Janssen seconded and motion carried unanimously. Janssen moved to approve an application for Sunday liquor sales permit for Mr. Morehead, dba The Corral. Stratton seconded and motion carried as follows: Stratton, aye; Potter, aye; Morgan, aye; Formanek, nay; and Janssen, aye. Janssen moved to pass a resolution entering into an agreement with Powell's Hauling Service, Iowa City, Iowa for garbage removal service from December 1, 1976 until July 1, 1977. Stratton seconded and motion carried unanimously. Potter moved to pay the following bills and accept the following receipts. Janssen seconded and motion carried unanimously.
