TOWN OF TIFFIN TIFFIN, IOWA 52340 The Tiffin City Council met in special session on January 2, 1978 at 11:00 a.m. in City Hall. Mayor Pro-Tem Glenn Potter presiding called the roll at 11:15 a.m. with Councilmembers Janssen, Stratton, Morgan and Potter present. Formanek absent. Also present Atty. John Sladek and Richard Sheridan. The reading of the records was postponed until the regular January 11, 1978 meeting. Mayor Brotherton's letter of resignation was duly filed. The Clerk-Treasurer administered the oath of Council seat office to Glenn Potter, Roger Janssen, Tommy Morgan, Janis Stratton and Richard Sheridan for co-inciding two year terms. The following motions were unanimously approved: Janssen moved to appoint John R. Sladek, Atty. at Law, Hwy. #1 West, Iowa City, Iowa as City Attorney for a two year term. Morgan seconded. Atty. Sladek accepted the position. Stratton moved that Roger Formanek be appointed as Mayor. Sheridan seconded. Janssen moved to appoint Beverly Birtcher as Clerk-Treas. for a two year term. Stratton seconded. The Clerk-Treas. administered the oath of office to Roger Formanek as Mayor for a two year term. Mayor Formanek presiding administered the oath of office as Clerk-Treas. to Beverly Birtcher. Potter moved to appoint uniBank & Trust as the official bank for the City of Tiffin. Sheridan seconded.
