Mayor Brotherton will talk with contractor Don Nielson about returning ditch and road in Potterfield annexation to original condition before construction work began. Council feels that present condition constitutes safety hazard. Barbara Murray presented application for Reeve's First Subdivision by Perry Beckler approximately one mile east of Tiffin. Motion Stevens second Cox to refer plat for Reeve's First Subdivision to Planning and Zoning Commission for recommendation and required by Zoning Ordinance. Carried unanimously. Motion Stevens second Spivey to approve clerk-treasurer's reports. Carried unanimously. Stevens introduced Resolution No. 1982-11 A Resolution Approving the adoption of the FY '82 Municipal Finance Report to the IDOT. Roll call vote: Cox, aye; Brown, aye; Rohret, aye; Spivey, aye; Stevens, aye. Carried unanimously. Motion Brown second Spivey to approve the FY '82 annual financial report for the water fund as required by FmHA. Carried unanimously. Discussion of payment to L.L. Pelling for 1982 street repair program. Several places in the city are breaking up and L. L. Pelling has agreed to rework a portion of Grant Street. At the recommendation of the city engineer, Mike Kammerer, the city will withhold $600.00 from the total bill rather than the five percent (5%) which is the usual retained amount. Five percent amounts to $499.90. Rohret wished to go on record as favoring the withholding of the entire bill until the work the completed satisfactorily. Motion Spivey second Stevens to pay the bills and accept the monies. Roll call vote: Cox, aye; Brown, aye; Spivey, aye; Rohret, nay; Stevens, aye. Carried.
