Minutes-7 /11/1990

The Tiffin city council met in special session on Wednesday, July 11, 1990 for the purpose of interviewing a candidate for the position of water/wastewater backup operator. Council members present were Brown, Morgan, Stoner, Slaymaker. Bartels arrived at 6:35 p.m. Also present were Mike Hart. Stephen Greenleaf arrived at 6:40 p.m. Also present was Dennis Dohrmann. Motion Stoner second Slaymaker to close the meeting under Chapter 28A.i. of the Code of Iowa "to evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual's reputation". Roll call vote: Brown, aye; Slaymaker, aye; Stoner, aye; Morgan, aye. Bartels, absent. Carried unanimously. Motion Slaymaker second Brown to adjourn closed session at 6:55 p.m. Carried unanimously. Clerk: Do we need to show the decision in open session? Potter: It's on the agenda for the regular meeting. Attorney: That's okay.
