City of Tiffin
March 4, 1998
Meeting of the Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order by Chair Dan O'Halloran at 7:30 p.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station. Members present: Dan O'Halloran, Tina Walls, Melvin Reeve, Steve Berner and Terry Richardson. Also present: Mayor Glenn Potter and Jim Bartels and Planner Mike Singer.
Parking changes in the city ordinances have been mentioned for parking concerns in the newer portions of the city. Mike Singer will look into means for increasing these requirements.
Mike Singer reported that the Clear Creek Mobile Home Park has discussed possible expansion to add 20 trailer sites, fill in the park's pond and alter the present flood berm. Any changes will require a site plan and filed permit application from the owners of the park.
Mike reported that a chiropractor will be moving into one of the business locations at 400 N. Stephans owned by Joe Johnston.
Mr. Singer encouraged the Planning and Zoning to support community wide efforts such as a local non profit Chamber of Commerce.
Changes in the subdivision and zoning ordinances were reviewed and discussed by Mike Singer and the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Fence permits were considered by the Planning and Zoning. No decision was made at this time regarding specifics of fence regulation.
Dan O'Halloran made suggestions that the ground surrounding the sewer plant be zoned P-1 for location of future communication towers. No action made.
Motion Walls, second Berner to adjourn. Motion carried. 9:20 p.m.
