March 13, 1998 Martie- Please inform Glenn, Steve Greenleaf, Rodney Walls, Jim Bartels, Tina Walls and Dan O’Halloran of a SPECIAL MEETING on BUILDING INSPECTION to be held at City Hall at 5PM on Monday March 30, 1998. (This is a change from our original date of 3/25/98). At a minimum we need representation from the Council and PNZ. The current building inspector, Jeff Mitchell, will be resigning. Jeff will continue to be available for consulting and special projects, but he will no longer be the day-to-day inspector. He has two highly trained young men that he proposes take over the Tiffin Building Inspector position (either one or both). These young men will attend the 3/30/98 meeting. We must determine which (or if) these men will work out for Tiffin. We should also review the building permit process to eliminate errors such as those that occurred on Tulip Court. We need to decide what these men will be paid, and how we keep up with changes in plumbing and electrical codes, and how we will cover vacation periods, etc. I will work to create a new building permit form, and we can look at the fee structure to see if it’s up to date. I’m open to any other suggestions on how we can improve how this process works. Have anyone with questions call me at 351-6709. Thanks.
