TIFFIN CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION JOINT MEETING WITH TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL City of Tiffin May 6, 1998 A special meeting of the Tiffin City Council and Tiffin Planning and Zoning Commission was brought to order by Mayor Glenn R. Potter, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1998 at the Tiffin Fire Station. Council present: Jim Bartels, Alan Kern, Rodney Walls, Mike Ryan and Mike Gericke. Absent: None. Planning and Zoning Members present: Terry Richardson, Dan O’Halloran, Tina Walls, Steve Berner, and Melvin Reeve arrived 6:35 p.m.. Absent: None. Mr. John Sears, CPA and Mr. Ivan Arthur, CPA both visited with the council regarding audit procedures. Motion Ryan, second Bartels approve no more than $400.00 in expenditures to assist the city clerk in preparing for the upcoming SRF Project audit projected for the year 1999. Ayes: Ryan, Walls, Kern, Gericke and Bartels. Motion carried. Mr. Pat Calahan gave information regarding his Capital Project Improvement Plan service. His hourly rate is $45.00/ hour for any kind of capital planning the city would desire they he provide. Motion Ryan, second Bartels to approve work with Mr. Pat Calahan at $45.00/hour in an amount not to exceed $5,500.00. Ayes: Bartels, Kern, Walls, Ryan, and Gericke. Motion carried. Motion Kern, second Walls to approve Greg Schott as City Building Inspector. Ayes: Bartels, Kern, Walls, Ryan and Gericke. Nays: None. Motion carried. Discussion regarding temporary help for Brett Mehmen was held by the council. A special ad hoc committee meeting is set for Wednesday, May 27th at 6:30 p.m. to begin preliminary work for the capital improvements plans. Motion Gericke, second Kern to adjourn.
