ADMINISTRATIVE WORK ITEMS: Capital Improvements Plan: A proposal has been sent to the City Council for max. $5,500 to set up and $200/yr for annual "check-ups". CIP to be completed by July 1998. Audit: A proposal has been sent to the City for total Citywide audit at a cost of max. $3,200. Audit to be completed by September 1998. General Land Use Plan: City Council to authorize PNZ and City Planner to prepare a revised Land Use Plan. Probable budget less than $1,500. Work to be completed by August 1998. City Maps: Work underway. Some problems identified which require actions by City Council, City Attorney, and IDOT. Mayor may want to approach additional property owners about annexation. Codification: The City Council should authorize the Attorney to solicit quotes for this work and report back at next Council meeting. Economic Development Group: (see Main Street Commercial above) Council members should contact Iowa City/Coralville Chamber of Commerce for more information and training. Community Programs/Annual Events: Council should ask for volunteers to review and recommend community projects and festivals.
