AGENDA ITEM # K-2 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: June 11, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Discussion and Consideration to Award Contract for Mowing and Landscaping Maintenance Services for Nuisance Properties and City-Owned Properties on an as-needed basis ACTION: Motion Background The City periodically requires mowing, landscaping maintenance, and related property upkeep services for nuisance properties when property owners fail to comply with City Code requirements. Additionally, the City may utilize these services for select City-owned properties on an as-needed basis when operational needs arise. To ensure timely response to nuisance abatement and maintenance needs, the City solicited bids from qualified contractors to provide mowing and landscaping maintenance services on an as- needed basis. Bids are scheduled to be opened on Monday, June 15, 2026. Because bids will not be received and evaluated prior to publication of the City Council packet, bid results and staff's recommendation are not available at this time. Staff will provide a late handout containing the bid tabulation, evaluation, and recommendation for award at the June 16, 2026 City Council meeting. Services will be utilized on an as-needed basis. Costs associated with nuisance property maintenance may be assessed to the property owner as permitted by City Code. Costs associated with City-owned property maintenance will be paid from the appropriate departmental operating budget. Recommendation: Staff recommendation will be provided following the opening and review of bids. A late handout containing the bid results and recommended award will be distributed prior to the City Council meeting. ATTACHMENTS: None – Expect a late handout or a report at the meeting. 1
