Tiffin City Council May 23, 2001 A special meeting of the Tiffin City Council was brought to order by Mayor Glenn R. Potter, 6:30 p.m., May 23, 2001 at the Tiffin Fire Station. Council present: Mike Ryan, Karin Dils, Mike Gericke and Jim Bartels. Absent: Rodney Walls. Also present: Attorney Greenleaf, Engineer Mike Hart, P&Z Steve Berner, and P&Z Melvin Reeve. Purpose of meeting to consider Sewell/Stetzel agreement drawn up prior to utility improvements completed under the TIF tax money. The agreement provides for assurance of partial debt payment in the ten year period of 1998 to 2008. Agreement allows that if sufficient TIF revenues are received by the City then Stetzel and Sewell may each year have release of property located within the Reeve’s Subdivision. Portions of the Subdivision have been released, but not the entire Subdivision. Attorney Jean Bartley was present on behalf of Mike Gericke a purchaser of property being sold by Stetzel and Sewell. Attorney Bartley requested release of certain parcels affecting her client in this regard, as the agreement exists as a recorded lien. Attorney Bartley reported that 1995 assessment listed the parcel as agricultural, 1996 as subdivision with vacant lots, 1997 as partial construction and 1998 as full assessment on improved lots. Motion Ryan, second Bartels to release Lot 44 and Lot 45 of Reeve Subdivision and study the agreement further with information from the county assessor. Ayes: Ryan, Bartels, Dils, and Gericke. Absent: Walls. Nays: None. Motion carried. Motion Ryan, second Gericke to adjourn. Motion carried. 6:55 p.m.
