CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL July 2, 2026 • Boomerang is back onsite picking up where they left off and installing the rest of the storm sewer along North Park Road Project. • The next event in the Tiffin Summer Social series takes place on Saturday, July 18th. The Ice Cream Social and Movie Night will take place in the Jim Bartels City Park. Ice cream and live music will start at 6:00 p.m. with the movie starting at dusk. The first event in this series went really well (even with the wet weather we endured that day) and we anticipate this next event being even better. • Grant Weber and I continue to fine-tune the membership structure for the Recreation Center based on the discussion held at the last work session. We anticipate having another draft for the council to review at the July 21st council meeting. If that draft is acceptable, we would then move forward with formal approval at the August 4th council meeting. • Rec Fest is a little over a month away, scheduled for Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th. Planning continues for this year’s event which includes adding events on Friday evening. The event will again be held in the open green space area between the New York and Ventnor buildings in the Park Place City Center. The event flyer will be in the next council packet. • The next scheduled Joint Entities Meeting is on Monday, July 20th. The meeting will be hosted by Johnson County at their administrative building located at 855 South Dubuque Street. The meeting is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m. I will e-mail the agenda to everyone once I have received it.
