CITY OF TIFFIN – Agenda – Work Session 6:30 p.m. - City Hall Wednesday, November 12, 2014 Call to Order and Roll Call The City of Tiffin City Council met in a work session on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Tiffin City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Steve Berner called the meeting to order at 6:35 PM. Roll Call: Joann Kahler, Mike Ryan, Jim Bartels, Mark Petersen, Peggy Upton. Absent: Administrator Michon Jackson. Also present: Public Work Director Brett Mehmen, Engineer Doug Frederick and Deputy Clerk Ashley Jay-Platz. Approval of Agenda Motion to approve agenda: Bartels Seconded by: Kahler All Ayes, motion carried Business HBK Engineering – Park Design Discussion: Brian Boelk & Rob w HBK Engineering- discussed their past work and their expertise in different areas. He recommends adding benches, trash cans throughout the current parks. Overview of what could be done to each park in town. He advised that Brown Street would be a good place for a Dog Park. Discussed Pocket parks. I & I update and assessments and Phase One-curb & gutter improvements Discussion: Easement documents have been submitted to those needing it. Property owners do not have to pay for sanitary sewer and will only pay for curb/gutter and sidewalks. Financing still needs to be discussed on entire CIP. Questions from Council regarding agenda items Discussion: Bartels: Website needs help. Possible discussion on next agenda. Ryan: wanted to clarify why doing all 3 readings for Urban Revitalization Abatement in High Development because nothing was ever formalized in 2007 when it was agreed upon. Mayor: Escrow Willow Ridge: small change to paperwork in Council Packet. Request we set a drop dead date. Legal revised and added the drop dead date.
