Roll Call The City ofTiffin City Council held awork session Tuesday, October 21, 2025, attheSpringmier Community Library located inside theClear Creek Amana Middle School. Mayor Kasparek called the meeting toorder at6:08PM. Upon rollbeing called the following members were present: EricSchnedler, Al Havens, Chris Olney, Tim Orris andSkylar Limkemann. Others present were CityAdministrator Doug Boldt, Assistant CityAdministrator Ashley Platz andCity Clerk Abigail Hora. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion toapprove agenda byOlney. Second byOrris. Allayes, agenda approved. C. Discussion and Review ofHighway 6Reconstruction Project and theIntersections ofCroell Avenue and Kimberlite Street Discussion: MSA Professional Services conducted atraffic operations study forthe US6intersections at Croell Avenue andKimberlite Street, evaluating fiveimprovement options toaddress growth andsafety concerns through 2045. James Watters from MSA was present viaMicrosoft Teams. Council narrowed down theoptions tooneandfour. Option onewasCroell Avehaving anoffset right-turnlane andKimberlite Street having atraffic signal. Option four was bothintersections having atraffic signal. Council asked James toget pricing onbothofthese options forthenext Council meeting. D. Discussion and Review ofNew Full-time Fire Chief Job Description Due tolack oftime during theWork Session thisitem was discussed during theregular meeting. Discussion: City Administrator Doug Boldt reviewed thejobdescription forthefull-timeFire Chief position. genda for approval atthenext council meeting. City Administrator Boldt also connected with anindividual who provided aquote topotentially assist with thehiring process once thejobdescription isapproved andthe position isadvertised. E.
