Roll Call The City ofTiffin CityCouncil heldawork session Tuesday, August 18, 2026, attheTiffin City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Kasparek arrived at6:38PMcalled themeeting toorder at6:30PM. Upon roll being called thefollowing members were present: Tim Orris, Eric Schnedler, Tony Johnson and Chris Olney. Absent: Skylar Limkemann. Others present were City Administrator Doug Boldt, Assistant City Administrator Ashley Platz, andCityClerk Abigail Hora. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion toapprove agenda byOlney. Second byJohnson. Allayes, agenda approved. C. Discussion and Review ofPotential Funding Opportunities through theIDOT forTrail and Pedestrian Tunnel Improvements Discussion: Assistant City Administrator Ashley Platz ledthediscussion and reviewed thesixproject options previously developed byMSA. The options include improvements totheexisting Highway 6 pedestrian underpass and future 10-foot pedestrian trail connections totheMiddle School andHigh School. Ashley willwork with MSA toobtain updated project cost estimates, asthecurrent numbers maybe forSafe Routes toSchool projects, with applications dueOctober 1,2026. Council directed theCity to pursue thegrant andinclude allsixproposed options, with final improvements tobedetermined based onthe funding award, available funding amount, andhighest-priority needs.
