AGENDA ITEM # E-5 AGENDA INFORMATION TIFFIN CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION DATE: July 30, 2026 AGENDA ITEM: Approval of Pay Application #11 – Tricon Construction Group – Water Treatment Plant Upgrades ACTION: Motion Background Tricon Construction Group has submitted Pay Application No. 11 for the City of Tiffin Water Treatment Plant Upgrades project. The application covers work completed during the period of June 27, 2026 through July 31, 2026 and has been reviewed and recommended for payment by the City's engineering consultant, MSA Professional Services. As of Pay Application No. 11: • The project is approximately 62% complete. • Work completed during this application period totaled approximately $1.23 million, with an additional $872,208.22 in stored materials. • Construction activities during this pay period included continued progress on: o Reinforced concrete work for the RO Building and Clearwell. o Roofing and building envelope installation. o Electrical site work and controls. o Process piping and utility installation. o Mechanical and plumbing improvements. o Delivery and storage of major treatment equipment, including RO system components, field instrumentation, MCCs, control panels, pumps, and filter media. Recommendation Staff recommends approval of Pay Application No. 11 in the amount of $1,282,605.44 to Tricon Construction Group for work completed on the Water Treatment Plant Upgrades project through July 31, 2026, as recommended by MSA Professional Services.
