______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL February 12, 2021 • Carter & Associates started work on Trail Phase 7 on Friday. I do not have an updated work schedule from them yet but hope to have that prior to the meeting on Tuesday night. • Item I-2 – As I briefly mentioned at the last council meeting, this resolution finalizing everything on the General Obligation Refunding Note. The issue is scheduled to close on March 9th. • I spoke with the project manager from Rathje Construction this week about phase two of the Original Town Project. Ideally, they would like to start work the middle of March but that of course is weather dependent. We agreed to touch basis again towards the end of the month to try and better determine a start date. • Tuesday is when we are scheduled to have our budget overview meeting with Tyler Technology as to how to properly import the budget numbers into the State budget forms. Overall, the budget is still going well. Abigail and I are working on creating a handful of new and additional budget line items and I am also working on the balancing portion of it. I will know more after our meeting with Tyler on Tuesday but as of right now, I am thinking that I may just want to take advantage of the fifth Tuesday in March for the public hearing and the approval of the budget. Tentatively speaking, please keep Tuesday, March 30th open for a quick special city council meeting.
