CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL
April 30, 2021
• MidAmerican Energy’s restoration crew is supposed to be back in Tiffin today and stay
through the end of next week to restore everything that was disturbed in Phase One of
the Original Town Project.
• Even though this item was on my report at the last meeting, we did not get a chance to
talk about it. Please take a look at the north/south through streets of Tiffin Heights
East as it pertains to the stop signs while traveling on Blue Jay Court. With that
subdivision basically completely built-out, if the City were to make a change in the
direction or add stop signs to the north/south streets, now would be the time to do that.
• Attached is an open house notice hosted by the Johnson County Conservation
Department in reference to the extension of the Clear Creek Trail to Kent Park. The
open house is scheduled for Tuesday night from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
• Also attached is an estimate from LL Pelling to do some additional asphalt paving
work at the fire station while they are in town on the Original Town Phase Two project.
• All of the City’s garden plots have been tilled and are available. This has always been
a popular item and this year has been no different. Of the 20 plots available, 18 have
already been rented.
• Just a friendly reminder of the City-Wide Garages Sales scheduled for May 7th – 9th
and the City-Wide Clean-up day scheduled for May 15th.
