______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS September 3, 2021 • Jon Thomas with Workforce Solutions will join our work session on Tuesday night through Microsoft Teams to give a progress report on the law enforcement assessment. Attached is Jon’s assessment update. Although we have other items on the agenda, this is the item we will give the most time to. If we don’t get to all of the other items, we can discuss them at the end of the regular meeting or simply wait to discuss them at the September 21st meeting. • Attached is an updated Opinion of Probable Cost for the proposed new Public Works facility. I will also have some updated financial numbers on Tuesday for the payment on the facility if the City were to borrow the difference (1.2M from the 2020 GO Bond) and proceed with the project. • Attached is a draft of an ordinance amending the Tiffin Municipal Code to increase the water deposit amount. I have left that part of the ordinance blank in order to be decided upon during the work session. If the council can agree on an increased amount, I have a resolution on the regular agenda to set a public hearing for the September 21st meeting. • Attached for discussion and review is a draft of the Sidewalk Replacement Program.
