City of Tiffin Proposed Fire Code 10/15/2021 Section 1008.3.6 Add a new section to read as follows: Circuit wiring. Emergency lights shall be on the same electrical lighting circuit as the area being served for the purpose of conducting monthly and annual testing. Section 1013.7 Add a new section to read as follows: Circuit wring. Electrical power for illumination of exit signs shall be from the same electrical lighting circuit as the area being served for the purpose of conducting monthly and annual testing. Section 5003.3.1.4 Delete section and replace with: Responsibility for cleanup. The person, firm or corporation responsible for an unauthorized discharge shall institute and complete all actions necessary to remedy the effects of such unauthorized discharge, whether sudden or gradual, without cost to the jurisdiction. Where deemed necessary by the fire code official, fire chief, or duly authorized fire department member, cleanup can be initiated by the fire department or by an authorized individual or firm. Costs associated with such cleanup shall be borne by the owner, operator, or other person responsible for the unauthorized discharge. Section 5003.5 Add a sentence to the end of the section to read as follows: Signs shall also comply with the requirements of the Iowa Right to Know law. 10
