______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL October 29, 2021 • Project Updates: o Metro Pavers has repoured all of the curb and gutter sections that were out of compliance. Main Street between Second and Third Street has also been poured. They are supposed to finish the work in front of the Fire Station on Friday. o The City Hall Permeable Pavers Parking Lot project was stripped last week. The only thing left to be completed is the sidewalk approach. All of the pavers the Dog Park are to be installed by the end of week. • Derek Dunkin with the Iowa Snowdrifters will be at the meeting on Tuesday night during the ‘Communications and Reports’ portion of the agenda to review the changes to the snowmobile route through Tiffin were worked on a couple of years ago. • Scheduled for Monday, November 1st is the pre-construction meeting for Well #5 Test Well Improvements Project. • Scheduled for Tuesday, November 2nd is another planning progress meeting for the new Public Works Facility. This will be the ‘90% review meeting’ as the plans are nearly complete. The public hearing and bid dates will be set at the November 16th council meeting. • Jon Thomas with Workforce Solutions will have the final report of the law enforcement assessment to me prior to the meeting on Tuesday night. As soon as I receive it, I will e-mail it to everyone and also make hard copies of it for anyone who would like one. Please then take the next two weeks to review the report. Jon will be at the November 16th meeting to discuss the report and answer any questions. • Just a friendly reminder that City Hall will be closed on Thursday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. • Another friendly reminder that Trick-or-Treat is this Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
