November 11, 2021 VIA EMAIL Doug Boldt City Administrator/City Hall Tiffin, IA Re: 2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area (December, 2021 Addition) Our File No. 436989-NEW Dear Doug: We have prepared the attached materials which will enable the City Council to act on November 16, 2021 to set December 21, 2021 as the date for a public hearing on the expansion of the 2017 Park Place Commercial Urban Renewal Area and on an amendment to the existing urban renewal plan for the Area. The notice which is included in the attached resolution must be published once, not less than four (4) and not more than twenty (20) days prior to the date selected for the hearing. The last date on which the notice can effectively be published is December 17, 2021. Please print a separate copy of the notice for delivery to the newspaper and email a copy of the published notice to [email protected]. In addition to publishing the notice of a hearing, a copy of the amendment to the urban renewal plan must be submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and the Commission must provide a written recommendation to the City Council with respect to whether the amendment is in conformance with the City’s general or comprehensive plans. Also, a “consultation session” must be set up with Johnson County and the Clear Creek Amana Community School District. Please refer to my separate letter attached for further details.
