CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS
September 10, 2026
• As mentioned at the last Council meeting, the final draft of the City Code has been received,
and an electronic copy has been provided to each of you. Prior to scheduling the public hearing
for the first reading during the regular meeting, we would like to provide the Council with an
opportunity to offer any final comments, questions, or suggested changes to the proposed Code.
Ashley will also review several of the more significant changes included as part of the
codification process and provide an overview of those updates to the Council.
• Also mentioned at the last Council meeting was the continued work on the City’s financial
outlook and projections with the recent changes enacted by the State Legislature as a result of
SF 2472. I would like to give the Council an overview of what we’ve been working on so far
and what is left to complete prior to the end of the calendar year. Some of these items will
require changes and updates to current agreements and ordinances. It will also require the City
to reevaluate certain future development projects and what, if any, incentives will be available
for them. Most of what I will share with the Council will be verbal but if I have handouts
available prior to the meeting, they will be a late addition to the electronic packet.
