______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL December 17, 2021 • Project Updates: o Rathje has been backfilling, reinstalling signs and mailboxes and taking care of some minor winter punchlist items. Outside of those items, I think the project is mostly in a good stopping point for the winter. • Attached is the proposed budget calendar and schedule for the upcoming budget process. Most of these dates coincide with council meetings but as we have had to do in previous years, please be prepared for a special city council meeting(s) to be able to complete the budget. • Item K-2 – Nolan Navara will be at the meeting Tuesday night to discuss the alternate for his driveway/front yard as part of the Original Town Phase Two project. • Thursday afternoon the small group committee interviewed the engineering firms from the RFQ’s that were submitted for City Engineer. The interviews went very well. I will have more of an update on this and our proposed next step at Tuesday’s meeting. • I wanted to reiterate how well I thought the goal setting session went last Tuesday night. I thought we had some great ideas and really good discussions that went with them. I will have a draft of the final report at the next council meeting. • Just a friendly reminder of the holiday schedule for City Hall: Closed on Thursday, December 23rd and Friday, December 24th. Closed on Thursday, December 30st and Friday, December 31st.
