______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS March 31, 2022 • Asmita Poudel with Astig Planning will be at Tuesday’s meeting to talk about an inclusive economic development plan that is being worked on in collaboration with ICAD, the Iowa City Area Business Partnership and Green State Credit Union. Included in the packet is the slide show that will be presented on Tuesday. • Dan Sweeting, developer for Madden Addition – OPD Site, will be at the work session to present his concept for the attached OPD site plan. Dan has had his initial and follow-up meeting with staff and held the required Good Neighbor Meeting on Wednesday, February 23rd. This informal presentation to the City Council is part of the OPD process for the developer to receive feedback from the council before the formal OPD application is submitted. Please review the attached and come prepared with your questions for Dan and of the development. • Heidi Kuhl with Northland Securities and I have been working on a sewer rate analysis as part of the City’s overall financial plan and in preparation for the next wastewater treatment plant upgrade. As we have briefly talked about before, this next upgrade is something the City will need to start planning for within the next couple of years. Attached is the analysis based on an 8M upgrade. Please review the two documents as we will fully discuss them at the work session on April 19th.
