CITY OF TIFFIN
CITY ADMINISTRATOR
REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL
June 3, 2022
• Progress continues on the Original Town Urbanization project. All the sidewalks
should be poured by the end of the week and LL Pelling is supposed to put the first
lift on Second Street between College and Grant Streets on Monday. The concrete
pan for the brick pavers is also supposed to be poured next week at Second and Grant
so the installation of the pavers can start at that intersection on the following week.
• Progress also continues on the new Public Works Building. They are scheduled to
pour the far west end wash bay on Monday.
• Item G-2 – We continue to coordinate and work out small issues with the sale of the
public property on Outlot C in Prairie Village Residential. Although we have the
public hearing on the agenda, we will simply open and close the public hearing but
there will not be a follow-up item to take action on.
• Item I-1 – Although the budget amendment was just approved, when we received the
proof of publication on Wednesday to file with the County, we realized the incorrect
version of the amendment was published. We contacted the Department of
Management for direction and was told to republish and reapprove the amendment.
We will still make the state deadline of June 30th. Included in the packet is the new
amendment.
• Just a friendly reminder of the Tiffin Fire Department’s Pancake Breakfast this
Sunday, June 5th, from 6:00 a.m. to noon at the Fire Department.
