______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL January 13, 2023 • Item K-3 – This claim for the south 66 feet of Lot 1, R and A Condominiums is for RJ Drive and the potential for its extension to the west. Approving the claim extends the time in which the City has to be able to decide if we ever want to accept the ownership of the road and potentially extend it to Roberts Ferry Road. Page 19 of the recorded paperwork for the Developer’s Agreement, ‘Conditional Dedication and Conveyance’ explains the details of the claim. Also attached is the approved final plat of the subdivision. • Paperwork has been submitted to Hawkeye Land Company and to the Iowa Interstate Railroad for the Well #5 project specifically to be able to run the waterline under the railroad. Boomerang would still like to start the project in February. I should have a construction schedule within the next couple of weeks. • Progress is being made on the FY 2023-2024 Budget. Valuations from the County were received last week and with that, we will be ready for a Special City Council Meeting on Tuesday, January 24th, at 6:00 p.m. (unless the consensus is to start at 5:30 p.m.). This meeting will solely be dedicated to the budget. We will have a light meal at the meeting. • We are having a small mathematical glitch with Tyler Technologies which is affecting the Clerk/Treasurer’s Report and the Monthly Departmental Budget Reports. We hope to have that resolved on Monday at which time we will include the reports in the electronic packet. • Just FYI, I will be out of the office February 13th – 15th.
