Project: North Park Road Improvements
Council Priority: (Insert a number or a date from the goal setting results)
Proposed Date for Construction: FY 2023-2024 (July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024) and FY 2024-2025 (July 1, 2024 –
June 30, 2025)
Source of Revenue: Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program funding and General Obligation Bonds
Description of Project: North Park Road Improvements consists of reconstructing the current two-lane road to
a four-lane, urbanized cross-section road. Project will include the installation of storm sewers, construction of
at least one 10-wide sidewalk, an at-grade pedestrian crossing and a grade separated (tunnel) pedestrian
crossing.
Cost Estimate: $6,500,000 – with engineering and construction observation
Project Justification: With the continued growth of the City, the new I-380 interchange, the two new
schools on North Park Road, the anticipated commercial growth and the new neighborhoods developing on
the east and north sides of Tiffin, improvements to North Park Road are necessary. The City anticipates a
significant amount of increased traffic in this area that will be using this road on a daily basis. Pedestrian
traffic will be using this road and routes to the schools. Accommodations for a safe route(s) to the schools
are also necessary.
