RESOLUTION NO. 2023-030 A RESOLUTION REGARDING AN ORDER TO ABATE A NUISANCE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: WHEREAS, a hearing was requested by Todd Biles, owner of the property at 141 East 3rd Street, Tiffin, IA, and the same was held at this meeting and evidence produced and considered by the City Council, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the owner of said property, Todd Biles, is hereby directed and ordered to abate the nuisance by removing all inoperable vehicle(s) and trailers and all vehicles and trailers in a defective or obsolete condition or place within a garage or other enclosed structure. Also must remove all pallets, snowplow blade, yard waste and all other trash, junk and debris within _____ days after the service of this Order upon said owner or agent; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Building Official be and is hereby directed to serve a copy of this Order upon the said property owner named above; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in the event the owner fails to abate the said nuisance within the time prescribed above, then and in that event the City will abate the said nuisance and the cost will be assessed against the property and/or owner, Todd Biles, at 141 East 3rd Street, as the law shall provide. On the 16th day of May, 2023, at a Special Meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa, Councilperson _____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-030, A RESOLUTION REGARDING AN ORDER TO ABATE A NUISANCE and made a motion for approval. Motion was seconded by Councilperson _____. Ayes: Nays: Absent: Whereupon _____ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2023-030, A RESOLUTION REGARDING AN ORDER TO ABATE A NUISANCE to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
