Only one command officer may serve as the duty officer at a time. The duty officer is not eligible for the station time incentive program while serving as the duty officer. In other words, if a duty officer is on duty the officer cannot receive both stipends for the same period of time. Notwithstanding, the duty officer is eligible for all call response stipends and the coverage incentive while serving as the duty officer. The duty officer will be credited as being on standby for calls received but not responded to under the Duty Officer Program guideline. Additional rules and restrictions apply.
