______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL July 14, 2023 • Similar to the last work session, we will review the updated materials and information for the educational campaign for the special election. Please note that we will start the work session again at 5:30 p.m. • One last reminder of this year’s Rec Fest scheduled for Saturday, August 5th. Attached is a flyer for the event. We will have a final update from both Bri and Frank at the meeting on Tuesday night. • Work Session Item D and Regular Agenda Item K-2 – Included in the packet is the proposal from the Hickory Knoll HOA for the sanitary sewer system the subdivision. This item was tabled at the last council meeting because of the timing of when the proposal was received. It is on both the work session and regular meeting agendas for any potential action to be taken. • Just a friendly reminder for the next Joint Entities Meeting on Monday, July 17th at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by Johnson County and will be held at the Johnson County Historic Poor Farm located at 4811 Melrose Avenue, Iowa City. An informal tour of the Historic Poor Farm will take place after the joint entities meeting. Attached is the agenda. • Tuesday evening at 5:00 p.m. will be the ribbon cutting and dedication of the Jim Bartels Tiffin City Park. I will provide more information on this next week. • I will be out of the office the week of July 24th. I will be in the Ozarks with limited access to e-mail but please text or call me if needed.
