______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL August 4, 2023 • Tuesday night starting at 5:00 p.m. is the first of the three educational Public Information Sessions on the Local Option Sales Tax. I will have the flyers to distribute, the PowerPoint Presentation running and some light refreshments for those in attendance. • One last reminder of this year’s Rec Fest scheduled for Saturday. Right now the weather looks pretty good so bring your friends and family to the Jim Bartels Tiffin City Park and enjoy the day. • As we talked about a couple of months ago, LL Pelling is going to remove and replace (mill and fill) several feet of Roberts Ferry Road on both sides of the bridge. That work continues to get delayed as they push for the substantial completion of the entire 80/380 Interchange Project. I will continue to communicate with the Project Manager to schedule a date for the work. • The DOT is planning their ribbon cutting for the 80/380 Interchange Project on Friday, August 25th at 10:00 a.m. on the (closed) Ramp E, which is the US 218 north to I-80 west ramp. I will send out another reminder prior to that date. • Ben Carhoff with Hart Fredrick Consultants has submitted a set of plans for the Original Town Urbanization Project – Phase Three that are about 60% completed. The plans are over 80 pages so if anyone would like a copy, I can forward them to you. Minus the review of the plans from MSA, Ben believes we are still on schedule to bid the project in December.
