______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS August 4, 2023 • Attached is the OPD concept of Daytona Estates. This would be a proposed subdivision between Creekside Drive and North Park Road with an entrance off of Mopar Drive. As part of the OPD process, the developer held the Good Neighbor Meeting on June 27th. The next step is a presentation/discussion at a City Council work session. Representatives for the proposed OPD will be at the meeting Tuesday night. • Also attached is a job description for a Building Inspector I position that we discussed and budgeted for and then again briefly discussed this past March in a work session. We would like to proceed with advertising the position but as we have done in the past, this first needs council review and approval. Below is the bullet point from the Budget Summary for FY 2023-2024. Brian Shay will be at the work session to discuss the position and answer any questions. o Building Department – Wages – Line item includes the addition of an employee within the department to handle stormwater management issues, institute a right- of-way permit process, manage the sidewalk replacement program and at some point handle nuisance abatements and a rental inspection program. This person would also slowly be trained in residential inspections. Amount budgeted is for the position to start in the fall of 2023.
