Office: 319.364.4773 Cell(s): 515.802.0906/ 563.542.6571 [email protected] / [email protected] DATE: August 31, 2023 ON-GOING PROJECTS North Park Road Improvements – James Watters MSA has submitted a request to the IaDOT for application to the TSIP funding program. Expecting response from DOT on project suitability in September. MSA is inquiring with DOT personnel on applicability of project for Statewide Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) funding and the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP) funding. MSA is awaiting decision from the City and School District regarding whether to incorporate roundabout concept, submitted to City in May 2023, into project plans. Highway 6 Concept and Cost Estimate – Ben Wilkinson MSA has completed our conceptual design of the project and is finalizing the cost estimate and cost sharing estimate. MSA will reach out to the City to schedule a meeting in the near future. The DOT is discussing internally with their structures group to determine recommendations. After meeting with the City, a meeting with the DOT can be scheduled. Comprehensive Water System Evaluation – Clint Wienen The RO pilot is scheduled to conclude on September 6th. MSA will complete the preliminary engineering report once the reverse osmosis pilot report is received from Harn. Trail Connection between Roundabout and Parking Lot – Andrew Inhelder Storm water calculations have been completed for this project in conjunction with the North Park Road storm water calculations since the trail project lies within the same floodplain as the southern portion of North Park Road. The plans are nearing 75% complete. Currently working with Bella Sala to determine allowable grading near their existing sign on the SE side of the intersection. Once agreement has been reached on the sign, plans will be finalized and sent out for bidding. PROJECT UPDATE Page 1 of 3
