______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL March 29, 2024 • One of the changes to the budget process from HF 718 this year will happen Tuesday night with the public hearing on the consolidated general fund tax levy. As required, this will be a special city council meeting and will only have this one item on the agenda. The council will hold the public hearing for the levy and after all comments have been made, simply close the public hearing and adjourn the meeting. No formal council action is required. From there we will proceed to the work session agenda. • The preconstruction meeting for the Original Town Urbanization – Phase 3 project was held on Thursday, March 21st. The meeting went well and we were informed by Windstream that the last of the utility relocation at 2nd and Grant Street (from Phase 2) will be completed by the end of April. • All the paperwork has been completed for the Kimberlite Street – South Improvements Project. We will be having a preconstruction meeting the week of April 8th. • The next Joint Entities Meeting is scheduled for this Monday, April 15th at 4:30 p.m. The meeting will be hosted by the City of Iowa City and held in their council chambers located at 401 East Washington Street. If anyone has an agenda item they would like to discuss, please send it to me so I can have it included. • Just a friendly reminder the City-Wide Garage Sales are scheduled for the weekend of May 3rd – 5th. The City-Wide Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday May 11th. • Just another friendly reminder that the Tiffin Emergency Responders Association Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday, May 5th from 6:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Tiffin Fire Station.
