Clear Creek Amana Community Schools Joint Meeting City of Tiffin/Clear Creek Amana Minutes 10/16/2024 05:30 PM Clear Creek Amana District Admin Building 1486 Hwy 6 NW, Oxford, IA 52322 I. Call To Order. Roll Call President Prickett called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM. City of Tiffin attendees: Orris, Havens, Limkemann, Olney, Schnedler, Doug Boldt, City Administrator Clear Creek attendees: Bila, Downes, Kukuzke, Momany, Pfeiffer, Prickett, Schaapveld, Dr. Corey Seymour, Superintendent, Dr. Tania McKey, Sr. Executive Director or Schools, Lori Robertson, Board Secretary. II. Approve Agenda Motion to approve agenda by Bila, second by Momany, Ayes - all. III. Welcome and Introductions IV. Discussion of the Pedestrian Tunnel under Highway 6 The pedestrian tunnel under Hwy 6 remains closed at both ends and is inspected by the Iowa DOT every five (5) years. Considerations to open the tunnel include: cost and maintenance of sidewalks/trails to the tunnel on land along the north side of which is now owned by CCA; gas line nearby that will need to be assessed. The City will investigate the DOT requirements and timeline to potentially open the tunnel. Both entities are interested in a joint arrangement to complete the work to meet specifications for opening. V. Review and Update of City of Tiffin Proposed Recreation Center The City of Tiffin will hold a special council meeting on October 29th with an open house to receive community input on the interior and exterior phases of the proposed recreation center with July 2025 as the anticipated groundbreaking. VI. Scheduling of Next Meeting Next meeting will be held April 16, 2025 with the time and location to be determined. VII. Other Business No other business was presented. VIII.
