City of Tiffin October 30, 2024 PROJECT UPDATE Comprehensive Water System Evaluation – Clint Wienen Comments from the DNR were received regarding the Preliminary Engineering Report (PER). Responses to the comments were sent to the DNR on August 22, 2024. The PER has not received official DNR approval to date for the PER or the Variance Request for the clearwell. Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant Design – Clint Wienen The plans, specs, and construction schedules were sent to the DNR on August 29, 2024 for approval. Pedestrian light (RRFB) on eastern leg of roundabout at Hwy 6 & Park Road. – Andrew Inhelder Iowa DOT has approved RRFB installation. Contractor has marked locates and MSA has met onsite with them to verify positioning. Contractor has RRFBs on order and anticipates installation early November. Lead Service Line Inventory. – Andrew Inhelder Report finalized for final review and submittal to the DNR by City Staff. Fire Station Grading/Drainage Improvements. – Andrew Inhelder MSA compiled several conceptual options with cost impacts and have sent to City Staff. PROJECT UPDATE Page 2 of 4
