______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL November 27, 2024 • Item I-1 – This item is back on the agenda to reset the public hearing for the council meeting on December 17th. With the short week this week, we missed the publication deadline. Even though the first reading won’t be until the 17th, Greg Stiltner will be at the work session Tuesday night to discuss the proposed rezoning and the site concept for those three lots along Tall Grass Avenue. • Item I-3 – This item is still being worked on and reviewed but will be ready for the meeting prior to Tuesday night. • Everything went well with the City’s Auditors last week. At some point next year, BerganKDV, will give a short presentation on the audit process and discuss the findings at an available work session. • Attached is a ‘Typical Budget Timeline’ that is included in the Budget Special Report that is produced by the Iowa League of Cities. You don’t need to pay specific attention to the dates listed in the right-hand column. I will put together a schedule that coincides with our regularly scheduled council meetings and any other special council meetings that will be necessary to assist the budget process. HF 718 did create certain deadlines that have to be met but again, we should be able to meet those within our regular meeting schedule.
