I-6 - Resolution 2025-012 - Substantial Completion for Well 5 Pump, Controls and Watermain Project

The project completion date for Well 5 Pump, Controls & Watermain is stated as June 1, 2023 in the contract documents. The project was substantially completed with the exception of passing disinfection tests on the water main shortly after the completion date. The project extended roughly one year to address the water main contamination issues. The City incurred cost related to professional services by Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. after the June 1, 2023 completion date. The estimated cost for additional services is estimated to be $12,798.16, Liquidated damages for the project are established in the contract documents at $500 per calendar day for the time the project remains uncompleted after the project completion date. With the final completion date established as October 8, 2024, the project was completed 495 days after June 1, 2023.
