CRPD sent a photo of a vehicle involved in a burglary in February to JCSO
investigations asking if they were familiar with it.
• ALPR technology was successfully used to identify the vehicle’s registered
owner
• APLR technology was able to track the vehicle over a 30 day period in
which it was involved in more than one burglary
• Use of APLR technology aided in locating the vehicle in Iowa City
