______________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL September 13, 2024 • The Boundary and Annexation Survey (BAS) changes have been made for the Special Census. The only thing that really needed to be updated were some street names and the addition of one recently completed street. • Wednesday of last week was the community tour with Jessica Junker from Core Distinction Group for the hotel market feasibility survey. The tour went well and Jessica was impressed with what Tiffin has and what she thinks it can offer. We should get the results of the study within the next couple of weeks. • Final plans for the North Park Road Improvements Project are due to the DOT on Tuesday, September 17th. Everything is in order except for the final easement documents for the project. That should not be a problem to get resolved and the DOT has a form that will be submitted with the final plans to allow the time necessary for completion. • Next week is the Iowa League of Cities Annual Conference in Sioux City. The conference starts on Wednesday evening and continues through Friday morning with the bulk of the workshops taking place on Thursday. Councilpersons Schnedler and Orris, along with myself, will be attending the conference. After the League Conference, I will be at the ICMA Annual Conference which will put me out of the office September 23rd – 25th. Please e-mail, text or call me if you need anything.
