91.10 SINGLE-PURPOSE METERS
Single-purpose meters may be obtained from the City for the sole purpose of yard watering. These meters shall not be used to fill pools or hot tubs or for any other outside uses. Water from these meters cannot end up in the sewer system, and therefore these meters are exempt from the sewer charges as set forth in Chapter 99, except as specified herein. The water used by these meters will be charged in accordance with Chapter 92. Users of these single-purpose meters are responsible for sending in monthly meter readings to the City by the first of each month. If a user fails to send in a monthly reading, said user will not receive a sewer credit for water used. These meters are available from the City beginning on April 1st and must be returned to the City by the following October 31st. The availability of these meters will be limited, and they will be provided by the City on a first come, first serve basis. The user is responsible for installing and returning the meter. Any user that fails to return the single-purpose meter by October 31st shall be charged $100.

Dates: an Iowa ordinance takes effect when it is published after adoption. Where the clerk's certificate records the publication date it is used; otherwise the adoption date stands in for it. "Not yet consolidated" means the ordinance amends this section but its new text has not been checked into this compilation yet: read the ordinance.
