The 2026 draft's § 170.35; the current text of its chapter is not in the archive, so it cannot be compared.

Comparison with a draft: not adopted. The archive holds no public hearing, ordinance or vote adopting the recodified Code through the October 20, 2026 meeting packet. Until one is adopted, every page here compares the consolidated code with a draft that can still change: the revised draft with the October 6 changes is not in the archive.

A comparison with the August 2026 draft recodification prepared by Iowa Codification for the City. The draft has not been adopted and can still change; the current code (unofficial compilation) governs until a recodified Code is adopted. If the subdivider desires a Building Permit prior to installing the improvements, the owner must deposit with the City Finance Department an escrow equal to the cost of improvements plus 10 percent thereof in cash. At the City’s discretion, this escrow may be divided by the number of lots in the subdivision and collected on a per lot basis prior to the issuance of a Building Permit. The City further reserves the right, upon request of the owner or successor in interest, to vacate the plat or relocate any easement, alter lot boundaries or allow said land to be replatted subject to any applicable public notice and approval process required by law.”

(3) The subdivider’s agreement may include other conditions peculiar to the subdivision as allowed by law.
