§ 170.06 Buildign Permit To Be Denied

The 2026 draft's § 170.06; the current text of its chapter is not in the archive, so it cannot be compared.

Comparison with a draft: not adopted. The archive holds no public hearing, ordinance or vote adopting the recodified Code through the October 20, 2026 meeting packet. Until one is adopted, every page here compares the consolidated code with a draft that can still change: the revised draft with the October 6 changes is not in the archive.

A comparison with the August 2026 draft recodification prepared by Iowa Codification for the City. The draft has not been adopted and can still change; the current code (unofficial compilation) governs until a recodified Code is adopted. Matches between sections are made by machine from the texts and are reviewed where uncertain.

§ 170.06 Buildign Permit To Be Denied

No Building Permit shall be issued for construction on any lot, parcel, or tract, where a subdivision is required by this chapter, unless and until a final plat of such subdivision has been approved and recorded in accordance with this chapter, and until the improvements required by this chapter have been accepted by the City or other provisions have been made in writing with the City regarding the completion of improvements. As a condition of the issuance of Building Permits, sidewalks will be required to be constructed in every subdivision within the City limits within one year after the construction of a building on said premises or within five years following the approval of the final plat for the subdivision if construction has occurred in more than 50 percent of the lots within the subdivision. Before any building is inhabited all sidewalks must be installed. In all cases, sidewalks must be installed on all lots within a subdivision within five years of the final plat approval.
