§ 156.02 Purpose

156.02 PURPOSE

It is hereby declared that the purpose of the Tiffin Housing Code is to ensure that housing facilities and conditions are of the quality necessary to protect and promote the health, safety, and welfare not only of those persons utilizing the housing, but the general public as well. It is hereby further declared that the purpose of this chapter is to determine the responsibilities of owners, operators, occupants, and the City necessary to maintain and administer the standards of the Housing Code.

Dates: an Iowa ordinance takes effect when it is published after adoption. Where the clerk's certificate records the publication date it is used; otherwise the adoption date stands in for it. "Not yet consolidated" means the ordinance amends this section but its new text has not been checked into this compilation yet: read the ordinance.
