§ 146.03 Penalty

146.03 PENALTY

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day any one of the above-described nuisances exists constitutes a distinct and separate violation of this chapter. Violations may also be corrected by bringing an action in District Court asking for an injunction to abate any violation, to prevent the occupancy of any building, structure, or land, or to prevent any illegal act, conduct, business, or use.

Dates: an Iowa ordinance takes effect when it is published after adoption. Where the clerk's certificate records the publication date it is used; otherwise the adoption date stands in for it.
