CITY OF TIFFIN – Agenda – Council Meeting 7:00 p.m. - City Hall Wednesday, October 8, 2014 Call to Order and Roll Call The Tiffin City Council met in regular session on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at City Hall. Mayor Berner called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM. Roll Call: Kahler, Bartels, Petersen, Upton and Ryan. Also present: Attorney Raiber, Engineer Frederick, Public Works Director Mehmen, Administrator Jackson, and Deputy Clerk Jay. Approval of Agenda Upton made a motion to remove comprehensive plan under new business due to wanting more time to review; seconded by Ryan. Upton motioned to approve the amended agenda; seconded by Bartles. All ayes, motion carried. Community/Citizen Forum McGladrey David & Brent: discussion on web server and threat due to online payments. Talked about proactive methods and bringing in a new server. Discussed the system shelf life of 5 years. Also discussed package deal and what would be included repairs and equipment. Approval of Minutes September 10, 2014 & September 24, 2014 Update min for September 10th update 1st paragraph & change “deerview” to “Prairie West” for the school purchase. Update September 24th minutes to phase 2. Bartles motioned to approve the amended minutes for September 10th and 24th; seconded by Peterson. All ayes, motion carried. Approval of Financial Reports and Payables Ryan motioned to approve the Financial Reports and Payables; seconded by Kahler. All ayes, motion carried. Remove payable for Advanced Electrical due to incorrect installation. Motion to amend Advanced Electrical by Peterson seconded by Ryan. All ayes, motion carries. Reports Attorney- Work on amending zoning ordinance that will be discussed later. Berner had question on PAD agreement and make suggestion to P&Z Engineer- Pre-con Ireland Avenue with Rathje on Oct 3rd. Discussion on lift station with Maxwell construction. Discussed School well extensions of deadline. Public Works- Oriole Ct holes and discussed damage not as bad as thought. Serious erosion but not alone streets or roads but needs to be on top of issue. Storm Drainage on Deerview that needs addressed. Developer said would fix pond to engineers proposal to fix. Mayor has made multiple attempts to contact developer left unsuccessful. Splash Pad is finished. Concession Stand is close to be done, surveillance
