Roll Call The City Council oftheCity ofTiffin, Johnson County, Iowa, metinawork session June 5,2018 at 5:34p.m.Mayor Berner called themeeting toorder. Upon roll being called thefollowing named council members were present: Peggy Upton , , AlHavens, Eric Schnedler, Mike Ryan, JimBartels. Absent: None. Also present: City Administrator/Clerk Doug Boldt, City Clerk Ashley Platz, Building Official Brian Shay, andother visitors. B. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion toHavens. Second byRyan. Roll Call: Upton, Bartels, Havens, Ryan, Schnedler. Allayes, motion carried. C. Discussion and Review ofUpdated Comprehensive Plan Brian Shay, Building Official continued review ofthe updates totheComprehensive Plan. D. Discussion ofAutomated Garbage and Recycling System intheClear Creek Mobile Home Park Council discussed treating 12-plexand theMobile Home Park asacommercial establishments. Which means they would need tocontract their own Garbage andRecycling services. E. Discussion ofChapter 55oftheTiffin Municipal Code ofOrdinances, Subsection 55.09 –Dogs and Cats Limit Council discussed changing the nuisance ordinance instead oflimiting thenumber ofanimals aresident has. Staff would beable toregulate nuisances, forexample, noise disturbances, health concerns, etc. Council agreed that theCity does notwant tobeinthebusiness ofremoving animals from homes. F. Discussion ofWage Structure forSeasonal Concession Stand Workers Council discussed thewage incentive forreturning concession stand employees. G. Adjournment Motion toadjourn byRyan Second byBartels.
