January 2023 IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION Predesign Agreement For Primary Road Project County Johnson City Tiffin Project No. STP-006-7(098)--2C-52 PCC Pavement - Grade & Replace STPN-006-7(101)--2J-52 PCC Sidewalk/Trail BRF-006-7(102)--38-52 RCB Culvert Replacement - Twin Box Iowa DOT Agreement No. 2025-P-001 Staff Action No. This Agreement, is entered into by and between the Iowa Department of Transportation, designated the "DOT", and the city of Tiffin, Iowa, a Local Public Agency, designated the "LPA" in accordance with Iowa Code Chapters 28E, 306, 306A and 313.4 as applicable; The DOT proposes to establish or make improvements to U.S. 6 within Johnson County, Iowa; and The DOT and the LPA intend to jointly participate in said project, in the manner provided herein and This Agreement reflects the current concept of this project which is subject to modification by mutual agreement between the LPA and the DOT; and Therefore, it is agreed as follows: 1. Project Information a. The LPA shall design the roadway improvements; and the DOT shall design and acquire the necessary right of way, obtain the necessary environmental and cultural clearances, let, and inspect construction of the following described project in accordance with the project plans and DOT Standard Specifications: U.S. 6 (Marengo Road) will be reconstructed with Portland cement concrete (PCC) pavement within the city of Tiffin from Grant Street to Park Road. See Exhibit A for project location. 2. Funding Sources a. The following funding sources have been identified for the project (see Exhibit B): Iowa DOT $4,067,348 City of Tiffin $3,954,292 Total Funding $8,021,640 b.
