Special Session - Call to Order – 6:00 PM B. Roll Call The City of Tiffin City Council held a special session Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at the City Hall Council Chambers. Mayor Kasparek called the meeting to order at 6:01 PM. Upon roll being called the following members were present: Eric Schnedler, Al Havens, Chris Olney, Tim Orris and Skylar Limkemann. Others present City Administrator Doug Boldt, Assistant City Administrator Ashley Platz and City Clerk Abigail Hora. C. Agenda Additions/Agenda Approval Motion to approve agenda by Olney. Second by Orris. All ayes, agenda approved. D. Consent Agenda Note: These are routine items and will be enacted by one motion without separate discussion unless a Council Member requests separate consideration. 1. E. Public Hearing 1. Public Hearing on the Consolidated General Fund Tax Levy for the City of Tiffin’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget Motion to open Public Hearing on the Consolidated General Fund Tax Levy for the City of Tiffin’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget by Orris. Second by Limkemann. Roll Call: Havens, Orris, Olney, Schnedler, Limkemann. All ayes, motion carried. Discussion: Nothing Received at City Hall. Mike Corbett, 703 Deer view Ave, present to discuss increase taxes. City Administrator, Doug Boldt, explained that the City tax levy has been the same for 10 years. Resident inquired about local option sales tax. If this hadn’t been approved, tax levy could have been $12.83. Motion to close Public Hearing on the Consolidated General Fund Tax Levy for the City of Tiffin’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Budget by Orris. Second by Limkemann.
