__________________________________________________________________________________ CITY OF TIFFIN CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT TO THE CITY COUNCIL – NOTES FOR WORK SESSION ITEMS October 29, 2026 • The timeline for advertising for the new Fire Chief’s position is a carryover item. • Discussed during a September work session was an overview of the City’s financial outlook and projections with the recent changes enacted by the State Legislature as a result of SF 2472. I spent most of that discussion talking about the changes/revisions to the City’s urban renewal areas or TIF districts as certain changes needed to be made prior to the end of the calendar year. As you can see on the regular agenda, we are setting public hearings to modify some of the City’s TIF districts. During the work session I will give an update on the modifications to the TIF districts and discuss the upcoming ordinances/public hearings set for the December 1st council meeting.
